Many thanks to all the student-athletes, coaches, parents, alumni and the Board of Directors who took part in discussions, meetings and attended presentations related to the UMASD and our sports league affiliation.  This was a collaborative process and with great feedback and participation from the community.  The Board of Directors voted on May 4th to pursue membership to the Pioneer Athletic Conference.  Today the Pioneer Athletic Conference met to vote on the application for membership by Upper Merion Area High School.  By an unanimous vote the Upper Merion Vikings have been accepted by the Pioneer Athletic Conference as a member beginning with the 2016-2017 school year.  The Upper Merion Area Middle School will begin competing within the Pioneer Athletic Conference beginning with the 2015-2016 school year.
