Congratulations to the girl's swimming and diving team on their impressive league championship meet his weekend. The girls finished 4th overall in the Suburban One American Conference competition.
Sophomore Kate Wisniewski finished third in the 50 yard freestyle and third in the 100 yard freestyle. Kate set a new school record of 24.86 in the 50 freestyle breaking the old record by half a second. Kate is an automatic qualifier for the district swimming competition February 28th and March 1st.
Upper Merion had many personal best performances, and two relays also made the district meet consideration times. The medley relay team of Eunice Ardamoy, Meg Hall, Sarah Harlan, and Kate Wisniewski finished fourth, and nearly broke Upper Merion's school record. The 200 freestyle relay team of Eunice Ardamoy, Jenna Bednar, Meg Hall, and Kate Wisniewski finished fourth in the 200 freestyle relay.
Great job to all the UM swimmers and divers, and good luck at districts next week.
