Upper Merion Athletic Registration
The Athletic Department utilizes Student Central for athletic registrations and form submissions.This online registration platform will allow students and families in grades 7-12 to register for sports and complete all required PIAA athletic forms. Please take a moment to review all the instructions read provided below.
All students grades 7-12, who intend on participating in a sport within Upper Merion Area School District, should follow the BigTeams Student Central Account Creation Directions (ALSO EMBEDDED BELOW) to create a new parent and student account. Students must use their UMASD email address when creating their account. Please fill out all required boxes when creating the parent account; boxes will highlight red if not filled out correctly. If you only have a cell/mobile phone, you will have to list your cell number for each phone section. Please have your medical insurance information on hand as you will be asked to input this information; if you do not have medical insurance, click no under the medical insurance tab.
When registering, please turn on notifications for both email and mobile phone to ensure messages/form completion notifications from the athletic department and coaches will be seen.
When completing the PIAA forms, parents will need to sign/initial sections 1-5 for each linked student account.* Students registering for their first sport of the year will need to sign/initial sections 3, 4 and 5.
*Please note that while all forms are completed and submitted online, you will need to print out Section 5 (Health History) and Section 6 (Doctor's Physical Form) in order to be able to have a doctor complete the physical form.
To print a completed Section 5 and blank Section 6: After completing Section 5, click on the "Print Version Here" link that is found at the top of the Section 5 form. This will print all of your answers to Section 5 Health History as well as a blank Section 6 form to take to the doctor. Most doctors will require the completed Section 5 Health History form to be presented during the physical exam.
REMINDER: ATHLETIC PHYSICALS MUST BE COMPLETED ON OR AFTER MAY 1ST. (New for 2024-25 school year)
