Upper Merion played a very tough Unionville team coming off their defeat of previously undefeated Downingtown West. Fortunately UM was able to come out on top in 4 sets. The Lady Vikings won the first 2 sets by identical 25-20 scores, lost the 3rd set 25-21 and won the 4th 25-21. The hard fought victory pushes UM's record to 10-0. Freshman Emma Andraka came up with her best all-around match, leading the offense with 11 kills and adding 17 digs. Emily Shannon had her usual triple double, 10 kills, 14 service points and 14 digs. Ashley Shannon set the defense with 20 digs while Carlye Odorisio set the offense with 29 assists. Niki Carpenter kept order in the middle with 6 block kills and her counterpart in the middle, Carolyn Helenski, added 5 kills. Eryn Brady was her usual dependable self with 8 kills.

The Lady Vikings will take on the Lady Hatters at UM on Tuesday night.
