The Girls’ Soccer Team had an impressive season with an overall league record of 9-7-2. This was an improvement from last year, where they only finished 500. This accomplishment was especially exciting for the seniors because it was the first time they experienced a winning season. (The last winning season was 2008.) The beginning of the season started out shaky, as a majority of the starting varsity line-up was underclassmen; however, the girls gained confidence and the wins started pouring out. Eight seniors, including Jenna Anderson, Liz Botto, Nikki Briskin, Kellie Keen, Jenna Kelly, Gabby Legendre, Alee Martorella and Destinee Rickets, will be greatly missed next year for their efforts. Four players received Suburban One All-League Awards: Sophomore Lexi Ryan receiving Defensive Honorable Mention, Sophomore Rose Sedgwick receiving Mid-field Third Team, Senior captain Liz Botto receiving Offensive Third Team, and Senior captain Gabby Legendre receiving First Team for Goal Keeper.
